TVS Holdings Appoints Sudarshan Venu As Managing Director

TVS Holdings Ltd. said its board appointed Sudarshan Venu as managing director of the company for five years.

The appointment of Venu, effective 11 September, is subject to approval of shareholders and the central government, TVS Holdings said in a stock exchange announcement. He is related to the company’s Chairman Venu Srinivasan, it added.

TVS Holdings, formerly known as Sundaram-Clayton Ltd., said Venu is the managing director of TVS Motor Company Ltd. In addition, he is the chairman of TVS Credit Services Ltd., the non-banking finance arm of the group.

Venu, an automotive enthusiast, holds a graduate degree with honors in the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, according to the statement.

He holds B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School, it said.

Venu has also completed M.Sc. in International Technology Management from the Warwick Manufacturing Group attached to University of Warwick in UK.
