Tata Power Reappoints Praveer Sinha As MD & CEO

Tata Power Company Ltd. said its board reappointed Praveer Sinha as the managing director and chief executive officer of the company for four years.

The reappointment of Sinha, whose current term concludes on 30 April, will be effective from 1 May, the Indian power producer said in a stock exchange announcement.

The reappointment will be subject to approval of the members of the company, it added.

Sinha is a qualified electrical engineer and has also done his Master’s in Business Law, according to the statement. He received his Ph. D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and is a visiting research associate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), it said.
