Tata Consumer Appoints Ashish Goenka As Group CFO

Tata Consumer Products Ltd. said its board appointed Ashish Goenka as group chief financial officer, effective 18 December 2023.

Goenka is currently employed with Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. as its president and CFO, the Indian consumer products company said in a stock exchange announcement.

Tata Consumer said Goenka will be responsible for the integrated finance function overseeing group accounts and finance, investments, capital structuring, forecasting and budgeting as well as providing strategic direction to businesses.

His role will also encompass responsibilities for strategy and M&A, legal, secretarial & compliance, investor relations & communications, Internal audit & risk management functions of the company, it added.

Tata Consumer said its former group CFO L. Krishnakumar, who retired from the company in October, will continue as senior advisor until 31 March and Goenka will work closely with him over the coming months to enable a seamless transition.

Goenka, who has over 20 years of experience across the finance function, will be based in Mumbai and report to Tata Consumer Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Sunil D’Souza.

Previously, he has also held senior leadership positions with Hindustan Unilever and Bharti Airtel.

Goenka, who graduated in Commerce from Kolkata’s St. Xavier’s College, is a double gold medalist in MBA from IIFT, Delhi, according to the statement. He is also a chartered accountant as well as a company secretary, it said.
