Nykaa Appoints Sujeet Jain As Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer

FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd., operator of beauty and personal care marketplace Nykaa, appointed Sujeet Jain as its chief legal and regulatory officer to further strengthen its legal and governance frameworks.

Jain has over 25 years’ experience in telecom, media and technology (TMT) as well as diversified sectors and most recently, he served as the chief legal officer at India’s largest cement producer Ultratech Cement Ltd., Nykaa said in a statement.

Jain’s vast experience of working with technology-led organizations will be immensely valuable to the listed e-retailer, Nykaa Founder and Chief Executive Officer Falguni Nayar said.

Nykaa, which was founded in 2012 by Nayar, sells beauty, wellness and fashion products across websites, mobile apps and over 100 physical stores.

Jain said India is on the cusp of digital revolution and Nykaa is playing an important role in the digital ecosystem through its innovative platform and offerings. “My holistic experience in TMT and diversified sectors will enable me to lead and impact legal, IPR, and regulatory initiatives at Nykaa,” he added.

Before UltraTech, Jain worked with Viacom18 Media as its group general counsel and company secretary, according to the statement.
