Navin Fluorine International Ltd.’s (NFIL) Managing Director Radhesh Welling resigned from the company, citing personal reasons.

Welling, who also resigned as a director on the board, will be relieved from the services of the company with effect from the close of business hours on 15 December, the Indian specialty fluorochemicals manufacturer said in a stock exchange announcement.

NFIL said it will induct a senior professional to head the organization as managing director in due course and Welling continue to serve the company to facilitate a smooth transition.

The company, established in 1967, said its Executive Chairman Vishad Mafatlal will steer the operations assisted by the leadership team.

NFIL said its board appointed Sudhir Deo as an additional director of the company with effect from 28 September with an aim to further strengthen the board. He is also appointed as non-executive non-independent director, subject to approval of the shareholders, it added.

Deo holds an M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur with about 44 years of association with Arvind Mafatlal Group, according to the statement. He retired as managing director of NOCIL in July 2023, it said.

NFIL, which belongs to the Padmanabh Mafatlal Group, operates one of the largest integrated fluorochemicals complexes in India with manufacturing locations at Surat, Dahej and Dewas, according to its website.
