Kapil Maheshwari Joins Welspun New Energy As CEO

Welspun Enterprises Ltd. said it appointed Kapil Maheshwari as its unit Welspun New Energy Ltd.’s executive director and chief executive officer.

Before joining Welspun Group, Maheshwari was part of Reliance Industries Ltd., where he was leading the Indian conglomerates renewable energy and green hydrogen ecosystem development, the infrastructure development company said in a stock exchange announcement.

Maheshwari will use his domain expertise to incubate the group's newest business and giving Welspun New Energy a strategic direction going forward, it added.

Maheshwari, an alumnus of IIT Bombay and IIM Bangalore, has more than 20 years of experience in the solar photovoltaic, storage technologies, power electronics and green hydrogen space in India, US and Germany, among others, according to the statement.
