Jubilant FoodWorks Taps HUL Executive Suman Hegde As CFO

Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. said its board appointed Suman Hegde as executive vice president and chief financial officer of the company, effective 1 March 2024.

Hegde will join the company from Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL), where she is working as vice president of finance – beauty, wellbeing & personal care, South Asia, the Indian foodservice company said in a stock exchange announcement.

She has led several critical functions like controllership, business partnering, procurement, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations through her multiple stints in Hindustan Unilever and Unilever Europe B.V., it added.

Jubilant FoodWorks, which operates Domino's restaurants in India, said Hegde brings over two decades of experience across a broad spectrum of leadership positions in the finance function.

Hegde, a chartered accountant, has also done MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, according to the statement.

The latest development comes after Jubilant FoodWorks’ President and CFO Ashish Goenka resigned to take up an external opportunity.

Jubilant FoodWorks, a part of the Jubilant Bhartia Group, holds the exclusive master franchise rights from Domino’s Pizza Inc. to develop and operate the Domino’s Pizza brand in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, according to its website.

The company also has exclusive rights to develop and operate Dunkin’ restaurants in India and Popeyes restaurants in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
