ICICI Lombard MD & CEO Bhargav Dasgupta Resigns

ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd. said its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Bhargav Dasgupta resigned to pursue a career opportunity outside the country.

Dasgupta will continue with his responsibilities until his last working date, which will be intimated in due course, ICICI Lombard said in a stock exchange announcement.

In his resignation letter, Dasgupta said he would have had to step down from his position in April 2024 after completion of 15 years as CEO. As such, the succession planning process has been initiated, he added.

The ICICI Bank-backed insurer said it is in the process of filling up the resultant vacancy.
