McLeod Russel India Ltd.’s Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) Ritesh Prasad Adatiya asked the bankrupt company’s creditors to submit their claim details.

The creditors of McLeod Russel, the world’s largest tea producer, must submit their claim details with proof by 24 February, Adatiya said in a public announcement. The e-mail to be used for correspondence with the IRP is cirp.mcleodrussel@gmail.com, he added.

The financial creditors should submit their claims by electronic means only. All other creditors may submit the claims with proof in person, by post or by electronic means.

The CIRP is expected to be completed by 9 August 2023, according to the announcement.

McLeod Russel is under insolvency resolution after the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on 10 February admitted its financial creditor IL&FS Infrastructure Debt Fund’s application.

The financial creditor had filed the petition seeking to initiate a corporate insolvency resolution process against McLeod Russel, claiming a default of 347.47 crore rupees ($42 million) as on 12 November 2019.
