The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) appointed Vikramaditya Singh Khichi as a member in the advisory committee of Reliance Capital Ltd. with effect from 17 February.

The development came following the resignation of Srinivasan Varadarajan from the advisory committee of the financial services company with effect from 17 February, the RBI said in a statement.

The RBI said the advisory committee now comprises following members:

  • Sanjeev Nautiyal, ex-deputy managing director, State Bank of India

  • Praveen Kadle, ex-managing director & chief executive, Tata Capital Ltd.

  • Vikramaditya Singh Khichi, ex-executive director, Bank of Baroda

The central bank had earlier constituted an advisory committee under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Insolvency and Liquidation Proceedings of Financial Service Providers and Application to Adjudicating Authority) Rules 2019 to advise Reliance Capital’s Administrator Nageswara Rao Y in the operations of the financial service provider during its corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP).

India’s National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) recently granted until 17 March to complete the CIRP of Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Capital.
