CCI Gives Nod To Adani Power To Acquire Diliigent Power, DB Power

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved Adani Power Ltd.’s acquisition of Diliigent Power Private Ltd. and DB Power Ltd.

The proposed combination involves the acquisition of the 100% of the share capital and economic rights of the target companies by Adani Power, according to a government statement. It didn’t disclose the financial details.

Diliigent Power is primarily engaged in the activities of a holding company, the statement said, adding that it also provides project management and consultancy services, limited to DB Power.

DB Power operates a coal-based thermal power plant, with an installed capacity of 1200-megawatt per hour in Chhattisgarh state, according to the statement.
