Info Edge CFO Chintan Thakkar CFO Resigns; Raghuvanshi Named Interim CFO

(The Corner Office Journal) -- Info Edge (India) Ltd. said its Chief Financial Officer Chintan Thakkar resigned to pursue another career opportunity and the company appointed Ambarish Raghuvanshi as interim CFO.

Thakkar, who has been with the company for nearly 12 years, will serve his notice period of three months, the Indian online classifieds company said in a stock exchange announcement.

He will be relieved from his responsibilities on or before the close of business hours on 19 November.

The company, which operates employment website naukri.com, the real estate platform 99acres.com and the matrimonial site jeevansathi.com, said Thakkar will work closely with the board and the management to ensure a smooth handover.

Interim Arrangement

Info Edge said Raghuvanshi, a co-promoter of the company, will assume the interim CFO position with effect from 20 November until the appointment of a new CFO.

He has served as the company’s CFO from 2001 to 2014.

The company said it is in the process of identifying and appointing a suitable successor for the position of CFO.

Next Stop For Thakkar

Thakkar is set to enter the world of early-stage investment as he will join IAN Group as its group chief executive officer.

IAN Group is India’s single largest platform for seed and early-stage investment platform with IAN Angel Network, BioAngels and IAN Fund I and IAN Alpha Fund, enabling entrepreneurs to raise funds, according to its website.

“In my pursuit of empowering experiences and enriching growth, I will transition into a career in investments as group CEO of IAN Group and senior managing partner at IAN Alpha Fund,” Thakkar said in his resignation letter.
