Nucleus Software Exports Ltd. appointed Surya Prakash Kanodia as chief financial officer of the company.

Kanodia, whose appointment is effective from 8 May, is responsible for managing finances, capital markets and shaping portfolio strategies, the Indian IT services company said in a stock exchange announcement today. He will also undertake major investment and financing decisions, and communicate with key stakeholders, it noted.

In addition, Kanodia will focus on orchestrating significant transactions, forging strategic alliances, overseeing pricing and contract administration, and vigilantly monitoring risks.

The company said most recently, Kanodia served as the head of finance for digital operations and platform business at Wipro Ltd., where he worked for a decade.

Kanodia, a chartered accountant and certified financial analyst from the US, has two decades of post-qualification expertise in various facets of financial management across Wipro and Genpact, according to the statement.

Nucleus Software said with Kanodia stepping in as CFO, Anurag Mantri has been relieved from his additional role as the company's CFO. Mantri will continue his role as an executive director and chief operating officer of the company, it added.
