HCL Technologies CFO Prateek Aggarwal Resigns; Shiv Walia Named Successor

HCL Technologies Ltd. said its Chief Financial Officer Prateek Aggarwal resigned to pursue outside opportunities and the company named Shiv Walia as his successor.

Aggarwal, who has been serving as CFO since 1 October 2018, will be with the company until the close of business hours on 6 September, the Indian IT services firm said in a stock exchange announcement.

Walia is currently corporate vice president as well as global head of financial planning & accounting and business finance operations at HCL. He has over three decades of experience performing various leadership roles in the finance function working in India, Singapore, Australia and the UK.

The company said Walia started his career with HCL in 1993 and served across several finance leadership roles over the last many years. He has been with the company since April 1998 and previously worked in the HCL subsidiaries between April 1993 and March 1998, it added.

Walia is a graduate in commerce from SRCC, Delhi, a cost accountant and a chartered accountant from both India and Australia, according to the statement.
