ICAI To Hold Insolvency Resolution Convention In Singapore

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is organizing an international convention on insolvency resolution called Resolve 2023 in Singapore with an aim to promote and understand best practices globally.

The inaugural edition of the convention -- in association with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) and the Indian Institute of Insolvency Professionals of ICAI -- is scheduled to be held on 4 and 5 August, according to the Resolve 2023 website.

The convention will cover topics such as emerging trends in the debt resolution arena, role of regulators and policy makers for effective ecosystem, standpoint of creditors in the insolvency process, as well as development of stressed asset market.

Other topics to be covered include Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code - game changer for India in international and domestic credit market, development of global insolvency profession ad leveraging technology for integration of process.

Speakers include ICAI President Aniket Sunil Talati, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal Chairperson Justice Ashok Bhushan, IBBI Whole Time Member Sudhaker Shukla as well as Vikram Nair, deputy head of dispute resolution at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, and Insolvency Law Academy President Sumant Batra.
